Does Back in Stock Alert work outside Shopify?
Yes, when the site supplies product and selected-variant context through the LiftSell commerce bridge and its backend sends signed inventory events. The embed script alone cannot verify stock.
Will an alert subscribe someone to marketing?
No. The stock request is a one-time service message. Marketing is a separate, optional and unchecked consent choice with its own record.
What happens if inventory data is unavailable?
The live widget stays hidden and no stock notification is sent. The dashboard shows that the verified data source or email setup needs attention.
