Product Recommendations FAQ
Does Product Recommendations work outside Shopify?
Yes. A custom site can provide context and recommendations through window.LiftSellCommerce. The bridge returns normalized product, variant, availability and minor-unit price data.
Are ‘related’ and ‘complementary’ the same?
No. LiftSell passes the selected intent to the store adapter and labels the widget without making unsupported purchase-history claims.
What happens when no products are returned?
You can hide the widget or show a short empty message. Preview data is confined to the editor and is never substituted into the live storefront.
Schedule, don't stay up
Don't log in at midnight. Schedule your Product Recommendations on Squarespace to appear exactly at 00:00 and disappear when the sale is over.
